An atheist group in one Indiana city will soon place ads on metro buses.

goodwithoutgod-779437Earlier this year, the Indiana Atheist Bus Campaign filed a federal lawsuit against the Bloomington Public Transportation Corporation. The lawsuit claimed the group was discriminated against because the transit corporation did not accept ads that read, “You Can Be Good Without God.”

Recently, the lawsuit was settled when officials with the Transportation Corporation decided to accept the ad. Speaking on the Fox News Channel, Eoban Binder of the Atheist Bus Campaign said the ads were not meant to offend. “It doesn’t really say anything about Christianity or any religion; it says something about non-religious people that even if you don’t believe in God, you can be an ethical and moral person,” Binder said.

Meanwhile, Tony Taylor with Great Harvest Ministries finds the ads offensive.

“I feel like it’s an outright attack on Christianity. I feel like the language of it is inflammatory, and I don’t think this is a message for them trying to find loopholes,” he says. “I think this is an agenda trying to be passed by the left.”

The ads are scheduled to appear on area buses soon.
